MacroArt eyes a brighter future with key appointment

June 08, 2021

Ambitious large-format printer, MacroArt has affirmed its commitment to further growth and innovation with the appointment of Dominic Riley as Non-Executive Chairman.

Riley’s extensive experience in organisations as varied as FTSE100-listed RELX, the BBC, and the Morgan Motor Company, provides a wealth of key corporate skills in areas such as innovation, market exploitation and sustainable growth, and he plans to take advantage of MacroArt’s high profile within the large-format sector, opening new sectors and developing fresh markets.

As Head of Marketing at BBC Online, Riley launched the bbc.co.uk website onto the internet as part of the team that developed the ‘third medium of broadcasting’ alongside TV and radio, ensuring the organisation remained at the forefront of technological development, and delivering one of the UK’s most popular websites. More recently as Chairman of the Morgan Motor Company, he oversaw record sales and profits and the sale of the business to Investindustrial in 2019.

“MacroArt is a business with great potential and a huge commitment to excellence. I am excited by the growth opportunities. The factory is well invested, the team is on board, and I feel sure that we can deliver results, both in terms of market share and profitability,” said Riley. “We see significant possibilities for further development at this strongly established firm”, he added.

MacroArt’s Managing Director, Michael Green is looking forward to a new era of development for the firm; “After recent significant investment in both equipment and industry-first software, we believe there is so much more that we can offer our clients, both large and small, and the appointment of Dominic Riley will surely be the catalyst for this next step-up in our offering.” he said. “Dominic’s impressive experience in successfully driving businesses forward, in both the exploration of new markets and services, and profitability, is perfectly in tune with the ambitions of our firm.”
