Esko has today (12 April) unveiled its latest print inspection innovation, AVT iCenter, which empowers label converters to easily manage quality and production standards across jobs, printing equipment, shifts and even sites.

Screen Europe has expanded its Service and Support Department over the past year to support its growing customer base in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as printers have continued to invest in digital equipment, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

With the installation of the Screen Truepress Jet L350UV SAI S 7-colour, the UK specialist printing house Print-Leeds is expanding its business. Thanks to its investment in Screen’s SAI technology, the company is launching a fourth division specialising in self-adhesive labels. V-Shapes, an innovative supplier of vertically integrated products and services for convenient, hygienic and sustainable single-dose packaging, today reported that it has partnered with TrojanLabel, an AstroNova Company, to integrate the TrojanLabel T2 high-volume digital inkjet press into its V-Shapes PRIME packaging machine. This integration delivers high quality 1600 dpi printing in-line on sachets using designed-for-recycling materials developed by V-Shapes and partners that can be printed using digital inkjet technology. Xeikon has announced the addition of two new digital label presses – the Xeikon CX30 and Xeikon CX50. Building on its 6th generation platform and based on CHEETAH 2.0 technology with new generation interfaces and cloud connection, these new presses are designed to offer maximum OEE. The Xeikon CX30 and Xeikon CX50 fit perfectly in the Xeikon portfolio between the Xeikon 3030 REX and Xeikon 3050 REX entry-level presses and the higher-end Xeikon CX300 and Xeikon CX500. Italy’s Grafiche Pradella has become the world’s first digital label printer to use Screen’s new SAI technology to produce labels with enhanced colour accuracy and vibrancy. The recently launched Truepress Jet L350UV SAI printer significantly expands the capabilities of digital printing for label and narrow web packaging applications. It provides a far wider range of colour expression than was previously possible, increasing Pantone coverage and reducing colour differences with specific spot colours.
