UK Graphic Awards open for entries with new categories for 2022

May 05, 2022

The 2022 UK Graphic Awards are open for entries and the organisers have revealed this year’s venue.

The awards – which are in their second year after the inaugural event was hailed a “raging success” – will take place on October 5th at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester.

With a number of new categories, there are opportunities for businesses of all sizes to be recognised for their most creative and visually impactful projects, their focus on sustainability and their commitment to their customers.

Founder Dan Tyler said  “The response to us announcing our second event has been brilliant. We’re chuffed to have seen the entries coming in already and we’re expecting a tough contest this year as the industry celebrates a return to running at full steam and putting out its most creative work once again.”

An opportunity to celebrate creativity and craft

The UK Graphic Awards have quickly established themselves as the event of the year in the UK wide-format print industry’s calendar. After bringing the industry back together for the first time in almost 2 years last September, attendees and sponsors praised the high energy, celebratory event and the focus on recognising the most creative and impactful work from across the industry.

Paul Fitch, Head of Inkjet at AGFA UK & Ireland, who are sponsoring the event’s Best in Show award for a second consecutive year said “Last year was a fantastic event to celebrate the sign & display market, an industry that Agfa are fully committed to. Wide-format companies are producing some of the most innovative & creative work in the print industry and deserve the recognition that these awards bring. Agfa's continued commitment to the UK Graphics Awards shows our support for this market and the importance of an event like this.”

Commenting on entries being opened, Paul said “Companies should be proud to enter the work they are producing.  Some of the applications last year were outstanding, This is a time to shout about the work they produce.”
