Epson America, Inc., will be participating in the upcoming virtual Sony Kando Everywhere event Aug. 15-16. Epson has announced its first 76-inch large-format printer in its LFP history. The SureColor SC-F10000 is a sophisticated, dye-sublimation printer that has been developed for the textile production market; where high productivity, speed and reliability are central to the success of the business. Epson, have introduced its first desktop dye-sublimation printer – the 24-inch SureColor F530. Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, “Epson”) will apply its original Dry Fibre technology to manufacture face masks for its employees in Japan. Dry Fibre technology, which is also used in Epson’s PaperLab A-8000 in-office dry paper making system, is a dry process that has until now been used to turn used paper into new paper inside the office. The masks will be made not from used paper, but from functional fibres and will be manufactured at the company’s Kanbayashi and Suwa Minami Plants in Nagano, Japan, where the majority of its domestic employees are located. Epson expects to begin manufacturing the masks from the end of May. The company does not currently plan to manufacture the masks for sale.

Seiko Epson Corporation have announced that its wide-format printers and an industrial robot had won the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category (Red Dot Award: Product Design 2020), marking the fourth successive year that Epson products have been recognized in this award. Epson today announced availability for its newColorWorks® C6000 series on-demand color label printers. The 8-inch ColorWorks CW-C6500A and CW-C6500Pare currently available and the 4-inch ColorWorks CW-C6000A and CW-C6000P are available for pre-order and will ship in April. All models are being sold through Epson’s vast network of authorized partners. Epson today announced its first industrial direct-to-garment printer – the SureColor® F3070. Designed to provide low total cost of ownership (TCO) and reliability for exceptional performance and savings in high-production print shop environments, the SureColor F3070 is Epson’s first direct-to-garment printer to leverage dual printhead technology and a bulk ink pack system, providing remarkably low ink cost and minimized waste compared to Epson cartridge systems. It touts all new automatic garment height adjustment and easy user maintenance features to increase production and reduce downtime for garment print shops creating custom apparel. The new printer will be on display in Epson’s booth (#2049) at Impressions Expo in Long Beach, Calif. from Jan. 17-19, 2020.
