Mutoh has announced that it has just entered into a distribution agreement with Summa Europe, a Belgian manufacturer of vinyl and contour cutting plotters and flatbed cutters.

Wide format printing equipment dealer Josero has secured an exclusive dealership with Prague based COMAGRAV for its COMAGRAV DIGI automated flatbed cutting table in the UK and Ireland. The cutting table will make its British debut at Sign & Digital UK.

Caldera says its V10 RIP suite is now fully integrated with the full range of wide-format print finishing equipment from the French manufacturer Kala. Owners of Kala laminators and cutters can, by using the Caldera RIP with the Trim-O-Matik module, exploit the full capability of their machinery.

Users of Zünd digital cutting tables will find this new Prep Center workflow software capable of achieving all types of printing and cutting layers – including routing, creasing, kiss-cutting, V-cutting and engraving – at very high speeds. Cut times can also be estimated due to integration with Zünd’s Cut Center software.

Elephant Print and Display has added to its finishing capacity with the installation of a new Matrix 370P pneumatic laminator from Vivid Laminating Systems, replacing a non-pneumatic model of the machine which Elephant had used for the last three years.

Large format display print specialist John E Wright has invested in its second Zünd G3 digital cutting system, this time for its Hull operation. The firm installed a G3 system into its Nottingham operation in 2014.

Companies are looking to maximise returns from their investments, obviously. Doing so isn’t just a benefit for the company though; it’s also possibly a big benefit to the client. Despite the drive for returns on investments, when it comes to print technology, it can be easy to rush into making another investment prematurely.

Zünd UK's recent open days with Canon were attended by a special guest – the company's international CEO, Oliver Zünd – who officially opened the digital cutting specialist's St Albans demonstration centre.

Papergraphics has continued to expand its hardware portfolio, this time into the finishing arena with the addition of Zünd’s G3 and S3 cutters.
