Printvision, located in Leicester, UK, works with a variety of what managing director Kritesh Patel calls print resellers. He is referring to graphic designers, advertising agencies, promotional goods companies, and print management companies – “any print reseller out there, “ he stresses. Printvision produce all types of POS – banners, flags, arches, backdrops. For promotional customers they produce deck chairs, cushions and tablecloths.

Less than two years ago Patel was faced with one of those problems we all wish we had. He was growing so rapidly he was concerned about keeping up with the demand. Printvision were known for their excellent service and quality, and because of their customer base, price was also a critical factor. He did not want to lose momentum when it came to servicing his clients on any level.

“Handling growth while running the business is quite a challenge,” says Patel. “It affects cash flow, staffing requirements, technology investments, infrastructure systems - all while trying to service customers at the same level you always have.”

“We chose EFI for a number of reasons,” says Patel. “We needed high speed and high quality to increase capacity. We also needed the larger 3.2 metre width to handle new types of projects. And we needed a partner who could help us handle growth as we keep growing.”

Printvision invested in three EFI printers, two EFI FabriVU® 340 fabric printers and a VUTEk LX3 Pro hybrid which allowed them to handle rigid as well as flexible materials.

“EFI technology is above a lot of other machines out there when it comes to speed and quality. And they also offer the large format we needed,” says Patel. “But we were really impressed with EFI because they didn’t try to oversell us. They considered the type of work we did and sold us the right machines for our needs. They made sure we had the machine that would help us to grow in the market we needed to grow in.”

Patel added that the cost of operation and price of ink were other factors for choosing the EFI technology. This allowed Printvision to offer customers the best product at the best price.

“Now we are more aggressive in the marketplace in terms of pricing. We can offer very high quality and fast turnaround. We have increased our capacity by around 60-70% just by investing in EFI machinery.”

Printvision customers are very impressed, according to Patel. “As EFI helps us to grow we help our customers grow. They can see we are the right partner for them. They appreciate our versatility, being able to produce fabric and rigid media projects. It is a massive benefit for us and our customers.”

“Investing in the right equipment was the only way forward, and after only 18 months, I can sit here and say it was the right move by collaborating with EFI,” says Patel.
