Following the launch of Roland DG’s first exclusive Mac OS RIP – Rolandprintstudio - earlier this year, the company has announced a new update to the software, making it even more inclusive and instrumental for the print industry.

Roland DG Corporation has launched the SOLJET EJ-640, a premier high volume wide-format inkjet printer with dual staggered print heads, an integrated tri-heater system, strong industrial design and high-capacity 1-litre ink cartridges available in 4 or 7 colour configurations.

Roland DG has launched the next generation of ECO-SOL MAX ink for use with its range of eco-solvent printers and printer/cutters. New ECO-SOL MAX 3 has been designed to provide users with faster drying times, larger capacity cartridges, and a lower price per cc of ink. The new generation ink is also Greenguard Gold certified which ensures that prints can be used in public sector environments such as schools and hospitals.

Epson has announced a new series of wide format printers designed for the professional inkjet printing industry. The company says its new SureColor P-Series family brings together the most sophisticated printing technologies available to deliver extraordinary results, whether for graphic design, contract proofing for commercial and flexographic printing, fine art, or photography.

printMAX is giving Roland’s autumn VersaCAMM SolJet Pro 4 XR and XF high-production printer offer a boost. With each printer, along with £2000 cashback, up to £1000 free media, and lots more, the company is presenting customers with a GoPro Hero4 Silver Edition camera.

Roland DG says that following the announcement of its Better Business Experience Day the company has received a fantastic response in pre-registrations. It goes to show just how much the industry values the chance to expand their knowledge, and as such, several of Roland DG’s expert sessions, running throughout the day, are now limited in availability.

Roland DG is about to launch a European social media competition - #WithRoland - which is set to launch on 14th September 2015, asking end users to produce and submit a short video (6 - 60seconds) explaining how Roland DG has improved their business and share their Roland DG success stories.

Roland DG (UK) is to sponsor the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award at the BSGA British Sign Awards. The ‘Roland Apprentice of the Year’ award will reward sign making apprentices who have made outstanding progress in their academic and learning achievements, as well as a real contribution to their employer’s business.

Sheffield based commercial printer ProTrade Printing has invested in a Canon imagePROGRAF iPF8400S 44” wide-format printer from UK-based plot-IT for the production of wide format canvases and prints for professional photographers and artists.

Slough based Kili Arts has installed an Epson SureColor SC-F6000 44-inch digital dye sublimation printer and a Sefa 1510 heat press to produce its new range of high quality ChromaLuxe photographic prints and metal panels.

Roland DG UK is to host a Better Business Experience Day at its Clevedon HQ on the 16th of September 2015 from 10am-7pm. Here the company aims to inspire, teach and motivate veteran, new and potential Roland users through multiple workshops, seminars and hands-on time with a variety of industry experts.
