The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) 2018 SGIA Expo — the last before launching its PRINTING United trade show with NAPCO Media in 2019 — brought more than 24,000 people to the Las Vegas Convention Center October 18–20. With 612 suppliers on the sold-out exhibit floor, 72 expert-led education sessions and a host of networking events, attendees were inspired by the latest innovations and “what’s on the horizon” for the printing industry.

Contex, the world leader in large format scanning, today announces a VIP event to be held October 18-19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas. Hosted by Contex and National / AZON Equipment, the event will showcase the newest products in wide format scanning and printing. Food and beverages will be served, and experts will be on hand to discuss the newest trends in scanning and printing of large format documents. Specialist print solutions manufacturer MTEX welcomed more than 60 business partners from around the globe to its annual summit in Porto, Portugal this month (3-4 October).

There will be no shortage of excitement in Roland DGA’s booth at the 2018 SGIA Expo, October 18-20, in Las Vegas. In addition to showcasing its latest inkjet printers and other advanced digital devices, Roland will be conducting a complete schedule of live, in-booth special events designed to engage, educate and inspire attendees. The organizer of Labelexpo Americas is pleased to report that the 16th edition of the biennial trade show was the largest in its history. A total of 487 exhibitors were spread across the biggest floorspace yet, at 203,642 sqft, with almost 30% of exhibitors new to this year’s show.

Xante’ have announced a record-breaking number of visitors to its exhibit of innovative digital press solutions at the recent PRINT 18 event in Chicago, Illinois. A total of 587 qualified leads were gathered from highly enthusiastic attendees who came to the Xante’ booth seeking the latest innovative products for digital printing. “The response from so many interested print providers was simply overwhelming,” said Robert Ross, President & CEO of Xante’. “We have exhibited at PRINT and GraphExpo here in the past ten years but have never received the kind of attention we enjoyed here this year. FESPA has confirmed its features programme for FESPA Eurasia 2018, which will take place from 6 to 9 December at the Istanbul Expo Centre in Istanbul, Turkey.

Mimaki will be showcasing innovative solutions for packaging, visual communications and retail enabled by digital printing at two important French events this autumn. Canon Europe is hosting two events at its Poing-based Customer Experience Centre this week, showcasing all the possibilities of promotional print for brand campaigns. The first of its kind, Future Promotion Forum, will be held on 25th September, followed by Production Printing Business Days on 26th-27th September. Together, the events will welcome some 800 visitors representing segments including publishing, direct marketing, corporate and commercial print, as well as brand communication and display graphics.

Mimaki, a leading manufacturer of wide format inkjet printers and cutting machines, will be showcasing innovative solutions for printing on a wide variety of media at FachPack, the trade fair for packaging, processing and technology, scheduled for 25 to 27 September in Nuremberg, Germany.
