Key products to feature in live demonstrations include solutions from 3M, for which the company is the largest UK stockist and distributor, Avery Dennison, Cover Styl’ and Squid.

3M DI-NOC is a range of interior and exterior architectural finishes that faithfully replicate the appearance of literally hundreds of different original materials, including those as diverse as solid wood, metal, stone, leather, marble and concrete. This enables use of the finishes in new build and building refurbishment projects at a fraction of the normal cost.

The finishes have performance warranties of 12 years (interior) and up to five years (exterior) and are fast and easy to apply to many flat or complex curved surfaces.

William Smith will also demonstrate the range of architectural films from Cover Styl’. Available in hundreds of finishes, the films are UV- and fire-resistant with an A+ rating on VOC testing, making them especially ideal for interior applications. To meet widely contrasting requirements, the films are supplied in thicknesses ranging from 200 up to 350 microns and have a durability of up to 10 years.

Avery Dennison’s MPI800 series of textured and high-tack interior wall decoration films are available in a choice of six options, including canvas, crushed stone and natural stucco. To accommodate different applications, the films are similarly available in thicknesses ranging from 90 up to 203 microns. The films have excellent opacity and are easy to apply and purposely remove with no surface damage via a clear permanent or removable adhesive.

The Squid Window Textile Film is the latest addition to the William Smith materials portfolio. A transparent woven polyester fabric, it can be applied to any size and shape of flat window or glass partition. In addition to preserving privacy, the film allows the entry of natural light during the day whilst reducing harmful solar light by up to 30 per cent. Currently available in five solid colours, the film has a MI/BI fire rating to comply with the strictest fire regulations. It can also be printed by UV and inkjet processes, with a latex version soon to be introduced.
