“We’ve come back from FESPA with the same amount of positivitywe had after Viscom Italia, despite the still low turnout. The signs of market recovery, the climate of confidence and the genuine interest of visitors, has given us hope for the near future,” comments Daniele Faoro, Team Principal of Guandong.

The products that aroused great interest at VISCOM were just as successful at FESPA: “As at the Milanese event, we found people were particularly interested in small format digital printing and digital offset, which is enjoying a come-back. In fact, we are receiving many requests asking if we can use these technologies to also print materials that are usually used for large formats.” This is a challenge that the Specialty Specialist has already anticipated, giving rise to the new Mr Magnus business division, which is specialised in the production and distribution of high-quality sheets for laser, offset and screen printing.

The huge whale made from recycled plastic bottles at the Guandong stand at FESPA, captured the attention of all our visitors. It was the perfect ambassador for the theme the company chose as its leitmotif for the trade fair: S.O.S.TAINABILITY, created from the graphic fusion of the word “sustainability” and Guandong’s iconic coffee bean logo. “For fun, we asked visitors to leave their empty bottles in the ‘sea’ surrounding our whale, telling them we would take care of disposing of them properly so that they could be recycled,” continues Faoro. “A fairly simple idea, but one which strengthened our commitment to conveying the importance of sustainability, also in printing.” Guandong has considered eco-sustainability a 360-degree commitment for some time now, one that involves the entire company. This is achieved through virtuous behaviour aimed at reducing the environmental impact of all our production processes, the result of which is the development of supports and printing materials that are increasingly recyclable and eco-friendly.

Many new ‘green’ products were presented to the market during Fespa 2021. In particular, the debut of Dotty Satin, our new elegant and sustainable adhesive film. Dotty Satin is the latest arrival in the already well-known and popular Dotty family, made with 74%Regenerated PVC - self-extinguishing class B1 - with glue dots and Air Release (Scarico d’Aria®), a technology that makes it easy to apply on doors and windows, while avoiding unsightly bubbles. It is also easy and fast to remove, leaves no glue residue, and is guaranteed for 6 months. Dotty Satin is ideal for creating privacy in shops, offices and public establishments, and is suitable for both screen and digital printing. It guarantees perfect colour rendering with any type of Eco-Solvent, UV or Latex inks, thereby becoming a highly-impactive decorative element for shop windows and mirrors.
