Dublin-based IQ Group, or Image Quest as it’s formally known, have turned to Mimaki to increase wide format printing productivity without compromising on quality or colour gamut. The company recently added a Mimaki JV300-160 and CG-160FXII cutting plotter through authorised Mimaki reseller, Reprocentre.

As part of its increasing commitment to supporting young people in print, Hybrid Services has created the Mimaki Vehicle Wrap Lab (MVWL) at the country’s foremost motorsport engineering education establishment - Oxford Brookes University - supplying a Mimaki wide format printer, cutting plotter and software package in a partnership set to take wide format print to a whole new level in British motorsports.

Mimaki says it has added Light Black to its portfolio of high-performance sublimation inks following the recent release of neon yellow and pink fluorescent inks available in two litre ink packs, all of which are ideal for low-volume, high-quality use in fashion and sportswear and swimwear.

Glass splashbacks for the kitchen industry are all the rage these days, and while there are many companies offering bespoke glass fitting and colour matching services, one company, Southern Counties Glass, has taken these products to the next level by digitally printing high resolution images directly onto the glass.

An A2 format Mimaki UJF-6042 UV curing LED digital inkjet printer has proved invaluable to electronics packaging specialist Verotec who is now able to offer ultra-high resolution 1800 x 1800 dpi digital printing in up to 65536 individual colours as part of its enclosure modification services.

The increase in demand for bespoke and short run interior textiles – be it for furnishings, décor or display graphics – is showing no sign of abating. This is why Mimaki is set to launch a 3.2-m wide, roll-to-roll, dedicated transfer paper printer - TS500P-3200 - for the textile industry. The new Mimaki sublimation inkjet printer is ideal for a broad range of applications including home furnishing textiles and indoor soft signage.

Mimaki has a full show schedule planned for January 2016. The company will be exhibiting at no less than three major trade shows, each focusing on its own specific field of interest, the first of which is Heimtextil, the largest international trade fair for home and contract textiles. Heimtextil is scheduled for 12th to 15th January at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. Mimaki will be located in Hall 4.0, Stand F15.

As part of its ongoing expansion plans and in response to increased demand for wide format print, Preston-based window film and commercial graphics company Lustalux has recently added a Mimaki CJV300-160 printer/cutter – supplied by authorised Mimaki reseller Granthams - to its machine line-up.

Limitations on creative graphics continue to be lifted with the latest developments in wide format printing techniques as Paul Reeve, managing director at one of Europe’s principal suppliers of products manufactured from flexible thermoplastic coated fabrics, Structure-flex, explains.

Printed table cloth specialist Harberson Ltd has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the corporate linens industry, with the business transforming itself from simple supplier to now offering bespoke dye-sublimation printing of tablecloths and linen for the exhibition industry thanks to its investment in a Mimaki TS34-1800A.
