Canon large-format printer re-seller and litho printing specialist M Partners, Surrey, believes the latest version of Canon's Calibration Management Console (CCMC) software for its large format devices is the breakthrough that printers seeking the answer to accurate, consistent satellite proofing have been seeking for many years.

Heidelberg says it is developing what it is calling 4D Printing solutions for customers decorating 3D objects. The company will use the November 2015 industrial printing show InPrint, to showcase its latest technology.

A new Photoshop plug-in is available from Color-Logic for Adobe Creative Cloud users that automatically creates a metallic ink separation for conventional printing or a white ink separation for use with metallic substrate. The company says its Image-FX software plug-in produces images particularly effectively in wide-format and UV printers, and costs $699 per year, or $75 per month.
