Textile Printing

Mimaki has announced it has attained the OEKO-TEX accreditation for direct skin contact for its Sb300 series dye sublimation inks and Sb53 sublimation transfer inks.

As one of the many former editors of Printwear & Promotion magazine over the years I confess to being somewhat nerdy when it comes to anything to do with printing onto textiles and apparel. It’s an occupational hazard I suppose, which is why I think the Epson SureColor SC-F2000 direct-to-garment dye-sublimation printer is one of the most intriguing pieces of textile printing kit I have seen in recent years.

HP will be at Heimtextil this week showing off its incredible HP WallArt Solution, a mobile app software technology that pairs end consumers with HP print service providers for the provision of bespoke wall décor. HP plans to show visitors to Heimtextil how the latest advances in HP WallArt will radicalise the consumer shop experience, in addition to showing how its latex printers can make a difference in the design process.

Epson is all set for Heimtextil (14-17 January 2015, Messe Frankfurt, Stand F15 Hall 4) as the company teams up with DMI, the German Fashion Institute, to show textile designers and producers how they can create, proof and digitally print their textile colours all the way from mood board to the final product using Spring-Summer 2016 trend colours.

The upsurge of interest in digital textile printing across the fabric arena, and marked upward trend for the versatility of ink-jet printing, has confirmed Kornit Digital’s attendance at, the world’s leading exhibition for textile and garment manufacturing, which takes place in Frankfurt, Germany, from 14 to 17 January 2015.

Epson is teaming up with select fashion designers from across the Americas to bring a unique experience to the runway in New York City during Fashion Week in February. Marrying fashion and technology, the Epson ‘Digital Couture’ event will feature 11 designers’ collections created using Epson’s dye sublimation print technology and will demonstrate the design freedom and capabilities of the technology for the fashion industry.

Mimaki is set to showcase its latest textile printing technology at Heimtextil 2015. The international trade fair for home and contract textiles takes place at Messe Frankfurt, Germany from January 14th to 17th, 2015, where Mimaki is Gold Sponsor of the European Digital Textile Conference. Here Mike Horsten will discuss “Why the home textile sector will switch to digital” on Thursday, January 15th, in Hall 4.0 at 12:25 pm.

MTEX Solutions is all set for Heimtextil next week (January 14th to 17th, 2015) where the company is showcasing its new digital-to-textile printers and treatment machines for digitally printed textile solutions.
