FESPA has announced the winners of this year’s FESPA Awards, its annual celebration of excellence in the global speciality print and visual communications community.

The Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA) — a 72-year-old organization devoted to disseminating research findings and technical innovations in graphic communications and now a part of PRINTING United Alliance — today recognizes industry leaders Laura Lawton and Gary A. Jones in a special virtual awards ceremony as recipients of the coveted Michael H. Bruno Award. Bruno and has recognized 92 individuals since 1976 for their outstanding contributions to the advancement of graphic arts internationally.

Siam Toppan Packaging (Siam Toppan), a subsidiary of Toppan Printing (Toppan) (TSE:7911), has become the first company in the Toppan Group to win WorldStar Packaging Awards. Siam Toppan’s packages were selected for their innovative product presentation ideas employing attractive design and augmented reality (AR).

Soar Print, a label and general commercial printer in Auckland, New Zealand recently won first place in the Digital Print Wine and Spirits category at World Label Awards 2019. The winning wine bottle labels were commissioned by Vine Street, a New Zealand fruit wine producer, and were printed on an HP Indigo WS6800 press. The World Label Awards competition is conducted by the L9 Group of international label associations and is often termed "The Technical Oscars of the Label Industry."
