French software company Caldera can confirm that it’s market-leading RIP, Caldera Version 11.2, has qualified for full certification for driving the HP Latex R series of printers. The HP RIP certification is awarded to differentiate RIP partners who reach a specific and superior level of integration, compatibility and performance with the HP device in question. Only third-party companies that can demonstrate conformity across a range of criteria are awarded HP Latex certified status. The certification recognizes that Version 11.2 can fully support HP Latex R series printers for functionalities including printing performance, media management, printer reporting, job generation, job management and application center integration.
Caldera is set to join forces with a raft of leading names in the print industry to create a new production concept for the floor of FESPA 2018, which takes place in Berlin from 15 to 18 May. MS Printing Solutions, JK Group, Monti Antonio and Zund will also be involved in the new initiative. The innovative 250 m2 SportsFactory booth will demonstrate a full production workflow for the creation of customized football jerseys. Visitors to the booth, sponsored by Dover Digital Printing, will be able to experience the entire production process from the initial design of a new shirt through to printing, cutting and sewing to make it ready for delivery. The production area will be complemented by a Sports Bar, designed and decorated using digital printing technologies, and a pop-up store showcasing digitally printed football jerseys and graphics.
Dover has announced the creation of Dover Digital Printing, a new operating company within its Engineered Systems Segment. Dover Digital Printing will consist of Caldera, MS Printing Solutions and JK Group and becomes one of the world’s leading providers of digital textile, graphics and signage printing solutions.
Wide-format solution specialist Caldera has announced the release of the latest upgrade of its market-leading RIP software. V11.2 will be demonstrated at C!Print, which runs in Lyon from 6th to 8th February. Three new features have been introduced in response to customer requests: HelpLinks, ContourNesting 180º and MultiLayer. At the same time, support was announced for a new OEM device: TotalColor qb, the Barbieri platform for spectrophotometers.
RIP software specialists Caldera announces the launch of CalderaDesk, a new customer support portal and online documentation center. The new portal will give Caldera customers and partners access to a wide range of tools, including tutorial videos and information about Caldera training, an interactive community forum and a library of Caldera support documentation. Login credentials will be provided to accredited users upon application.
