After a disappointing experience with a new printer, fabric and exhibition printers Harberson Ltd changed brand and supplier to find the most versatile solution for their needs. Now, a couple of months on from the installation of their new Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH UV hybrid printer, Print Manager Karl Richardson is delighted with the difference it’s made to the company’s productivity.
The Sign & Digital UK show wouldn’t be the same without Mutoh’s UK distributor Colourgen who this year celebrates 17 years attending the show. This year the Colourgen team is presenting new Mutoh large format sign and display printers and solutions, along with a range of laminators from Kala, and a broad range of media products and software solutions from Caldera and Sai.
Colourgen is looking to do some serious business at Sign & Digital UK with the latest 64” Mutoh ValueJet 1604X following its international launch at FESPA last month. In a UK-exclusive, the printer will be available to view on Colourgen’s stand with live demonstrations throughout the event and will be priced at £8,995 (ex VAT) including stand, take-up, software and a full set of inks.
Colourgen has announced positive, profitable results for its financial year ending June 2015. Highlights from the Colourgen 2014/15 fiscal year include a growth in its Epson business which saw nearly a 50% increase in printer sales, while Mutoh sales remained steady with a slight increase in the number of printers sold compared to the previous year. The biggest growth however came from laminator sales with Colourgen increasing sales of Kala and Seal products by 124%.
