One visit, all the perks – a brilliant idea, well received. Featuring a total of 1,084 exhibiting companies, the new trade show network consisting of PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom underscored its ambition of becoming Europe’s largest combined event for advertising and selling. More than half of the exhibitors came from outside Germany, representing a total of 38 countries.

Mimaki Europe, a leading manufacturer of inkjet printers and cutting systems, today announces that under it’s ‘Join the Experience’ joint show theme, it will exhibit its portfolio of market leading UV flatbed, solvent and sublimation printers at PSI and Viscom 2019 (8-10 January 2019 – Dusseldorf, Germany). From storytelling for interiors to highest-quality car wrapping: sign makers, printers, designers and the like can explore new lines of business at viscom 2019 and discover numerous highlights. These include a live signmaking workshop, a Fanshop and an Interior Design Day, to name but a few. They will make a visit to the trade show an informative and interactive experience. For the first time, Europe’s Trade Show for Visual Communication will kick off the new business year right at the beginning of the year from 8 to 10 January. And for the first time, it will be held in parallel with PSI, the International Trade Show for the Promotional Products Industry, and the new PromoTex Expo, the new Trade Show for Promotion, Sports and Workwear. This means the three independent events will make up one of Europe’s biggest trade show alliances for marketers and advertising professionals.

Textile finishing will be made an even more attractive theme at viscom 2019: from 8 to 10 January all renowned suppliers of embroidery machines and materials will be exhibiting their equipment, technologies and consumables at the Düsseldorf trade show. Right next door – and freely accessible for viscom visitors – the new PromoTex Expo show will present innovations in advertising textiles, job fashion and sportswear. This way textile finishers and signmakers have an overview of what is happening on the markets of relevance to them within easy reach.

Getting close to the action when top wrappers from around the world do battle – that’s one of the hallmarks of viscom. From 8 to 10 January 2019, the hands-on trade fair for signmaking and digital large format printing will host a brand-new car wrapping experience: the Nations Wrap Cup. After ten years of the European Wrap Star, organiser MR Clipart has created a thrilling competition that’s even more international, has even more categories and features an even larger female contingent.

viscom 2019 turns signmaking and digital printing into an experience. Held with the slogan “viscom – go for it!” from 8 to 10 January, the hands-on trade show will offer far more to trade visitors than a chance to try out new technology live: they’ll also be able to experience skilled practitioners in action, get ideas for their businesses and engage in peer-to-peer discussions.

It’s the perfect match: exhibitors joining the new trade show alliance formed by PSI, PromoTex Expo and viscom can now turbocharge their show participation in Düsseldorf to be twice as effective. As they present their products and services at their own exhibition stands from 8 to 10 January 2019, they can inform about each other and meet, e.g. in the matchmaking lounges of viscom and PromoTex Expo.. Particularly helpful when planning meetings ahead of the event is the free online matchmaking tool, which can be used across trade shows for the first time.

From now on, viscom, the International Trade Fair for Visual Communication, will take place annually in Düsseldorf. The event used to alternate locations between Düsseldorf and Frankfurt each year. The second change: viscom will be moved from autumn to January to become the kick-off event for the new business year. The third change: starting in 2019, viscom will be held concurrently with PSI, the Leading European Trade Show of the Promotional Products Industry, with the first event scheduled from 8 to 10 January 2019. The rhythm change means that viscom will not take place in autumn of 2018.

This fall, CHILI publish (www.chili-publish.com), will be taking its revolutionary technology on the road, showcasing the red hot updated CHILI publisher online document editor to markets everywhere. The company will be sharing the solution’s novelties during demos at events and seminars, and the company’s expertise on evolving from start-up to scale-up at key speaking opportunities.

“Once upon a time, there was a jolly bunch of industrious advertising technicians who set out to find inspiration ... .” From 18 to 20 October, it’ll be viscom 2017 – not Hans Christian Andersen – which will send its trade visitors on a magical journey of inspiration. With the help of students from the University of Wuppertal, viscom world of inspiration, traditionally a visitor highlight at the trade fair, will be turned into the magnificent entryway to the exhibition area in a project titled “The Emperor’s New Signmaking”. Visitors are encouraged to take a look beyond their own area of expertise and find suggestions that work for them.
