Established in 1982, Symbol is a creative design, print and sign company that has recently gone completely digital after 30 years of traditional screen-printing. They boast a new and impressive production facility that includes a Mimaki JFX200-2531, Mimaki UCJV300 and Esko Kongsberg X24 Starter, all purchased from CMYUK, the UK's largest independent supplier of large format digital printers, cutting equipment and materials.

Pelican Print provides in-house pre-press, litho, digital and large format printing from their two sites, both based in Aylesbury. With a history spanning 20 years, they are very much in the present when it comes to innovation, and recently purchased an ESKO Kongsberg X24 Starter from CMYUK, the UK's largest independent supplier of large format digital printers, cutting equipment and materials.

Esko has unveiled the latest update to the Esko Software Platform. This newest release delivers a host of platform-wide updates and continues Esko’s ongoing commitment to regularly and consistently enhancing the solutions portfolio customers rely on.

Esko, has announced it has entered into a strategic partnership with Amtech Software to bring increased efficiencies to its joint customers in the corrugated market. The companies are developing an integration between Esko’s ArtiosCAD, Automation Engine, WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated solution, and Amtech’s Encore ERP solution to create bi-directional communication that eliminates double data entry and enables further downstream automation of the workflow for corrugated converters.

Esko announced that Mattias Byström has been appointed President, effective January 1, 2019. Byström succeeds Udo Panenka, who is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities.

Esko will showcase its innovative packaging software solutions for brand owners, trade shops and converters, as well as a Kongsberg C24 cutting table (1680x3200) at All4Pack, Paris, November 26 to 29, Hall 6 Stand L141.

Today’s label converters face the key challenges of producing large volumes of high quality, short run jobs with quicker deadlines. This creates lead-time pressure and complex workflows supporting the need for greater efficiencies.

Esko will show Scanpack visitors how they can deliver shorter turnaround times while maintaining high quality and increasing profitability with its Packaging Connected approach.

This year’s FlexoTech Awards again placed the spotlight on the huge volumes of high quality, creative flexographic packaging produced by Esko customers using the company’s prepress, workflow, color management, and flexo platemaking solutions.

There are many challenges facing large format printers, but production can be enhanced and operational efficiency increased with software that delivers faster approval cycles, eliminates file errors, reduces idle time, improves workflow control and simplifies complex manual steps of digital finishing equipment. At booth 938, during SGIA Expo 2018, October 18-20, Esko will focus on its new QuickStart solutions: Automation Engine QuickStart for Sign and WebCenter QuickStart for Corrugated, as well as two Kongsberg tables, showcasing industry-unique end-to-end production workflows.

Esko and its Italian distributor B+B International will co-exhibit at Viscom Italia 2018 (Fiera Milano, October 18 to 20, Hall 8 Stand G19) to demonstrate how a streamlined workflow helps packaging, display and signage specialists to be more flexible and productive.
