The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) are accepting presentation proposals for the 2019 Digital Textile Printing Conference (December 11 - 12; Durham, N.C.).

With its lineup of engaging educational sessions, the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) upcoming FP3: Functional Printing, Process & Products conference (May 5 - 7, Chicago area) will cover a range of essential topics for today’s functional printing businesses, from a look at the latest technological advancements and opportunities to company culture and strategy.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) is convening some of the biggest names in color to address a serious need in the printing industry: color standards for digital printing. A new working group will include representatives from companies including WestRock, FUJIFILM and Nazdar.

Booth sales have opened for Graphics of the Americas (GOA), powered by the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), coming to Halls A and B of the Miami Beach Convention Center, February 27 - 29, 2020. This will be the first edition of GOA under SGIA ownership.

The Printing Industries Alliance welcomed Mark Subers, President/CRO – Printing & Packaging, NAPCO Media, to its Digital Printing Think Tank III last week for a talk on convergence.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association’s (SGIA) FP3: Functional Printing, Process & Products conference (Chicago area, May 5 - 7) will take a deep dive into technologies, trends and business approaches shaping functional printers with keynoters Dale Crownover, President and CEO, Texas Nameplate Company Inc. (TNC), and Colby B. Jubenville, Ph.D.

SGIA is taking a new approach to its survey methodology, establishing representative survey panels. The panels, which will typically total about 200 volunteers each, represent six industry segments: graphics, garment, commercial, packaging, in-plant and functional printing.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has announced the 18 member companies receiving its Annual Safety Recognition Program Award for their safety efforts throughout the 2018 calendar year. Based on a point system, the program rewards participating companies who have scored an 80 or more by completing action items such as bi-monthly safety checks, establishing safety committees, attending safety webinars and more.

Industry convergence was the topic of the night when Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Executive Vice President James Martin spoke to the group at the Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA) last week.

There were no squeegees, mesh or presses at SGIA’s THREADX 2019 (San Diego, February 17 – 19). Rather, 154 leaders in apparel decorating were there to push their businesses to new levels with sessions focusing on branding and design.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) donated the $4,603.56 it raised in its 2018 SGIA Expo T-shirt sales to the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). The shirts were sold during the Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center for $5 each.
