Soar Print, a label and general commercial printer in Auckland, New Zealand recently won first place in the Digital Print Wine and Spirits category at World Label Awards 2019. The winning wine bottle labels were commissioned by Vine Street, a New Zealand fruit wine producer, and were printed on an HP Indigo WS6800 press. The World Label Awards competition is conducted by the L9 Group of international label associations and is often termed "The Technical Oscars of the Label Industry."

At the end of June, around a hundred and fifty attendees took part in the Label Academy’s first online master class targeting an international audience. Prior to this, Label Academy master classes had never been held outside of Labelexpo shows.

Durst has announced the official start of beta testing of its new Tau RSCi label press at label converter LabelPrint OÜ. The new single-pass UV inkjet label press, which was announced at Labelexpo Brussels last year, was installed at its headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia, in July 2020.
